ABOUT ANNIKA
Yoga Practitioner. Teacher. Lifelong Learner. Traveler.
Annika is an educator, yoga teacher, traveler, bikepacker, journaler, reader, and curious spirit. After teaching Kindergarten for several years in Colorado, she left the classroom to pursue new dreams and has been nomadic for over two years!
Annika is a 500hr RYT with certifications in Vinyasa, Hatha, and Yin Yoga. She is a facilitator for School Yoga Institute and leads 200 and 300 hour Yoga Teacher Trainings around the world. Her classes are a blend of physical effort, sensation, and grounding and are designed to be accessible to all bodies and experience levels. Time on the mat together is filled with Annika’s passion for strength, informed alignment, and connection to breath. She is also the co-founder of Unity Yoga - an online space that shares yoga “for all bodies, ages, and experience levels.”
Off the mat, Annika works with women in the wilderness and adolescents pursuing alternative learning environments. She is a guide for Adventures in Good Company who take women on empowering outdoor adventures around the world. She is also the Program Director and Mindfulness Coordinator for Discover Term - an alternative learning program for middle schoolers that brings them surfing in Costa Rica and skiing in Colorado.
When she is not outside, Annika can be found fumbling in the Spanish language, sipping ceremonial cacao, learning to surf, studying Ayurveda with the Kerala Institute, and tootling with arm balances.
